Codility

Integrating Codility with ModernLoop allows you to automatically generate Codility interview session links when scheduling candidate interviews. Follow the steps below to set up and use the integration.

Prerequisites

To set up the integration:

  1. The Codility user setting up the integration must have admin access to Codility.

  1. The Codility user setting up the integration must also have admin access to ModernLoop.

If the Codility account that generates the API key is deprecated, the integration will stop working. Best practice is to use a permanent admin account (e.g., a system user account) or create a new Codility admin account specifically for this task.

Instructions

To connect Codility to ModernLoop, follow these steps:

  1. Generate the Codility API Key

    • Navigate to My Account → Settings.

    • Click on Integrations from the top menu.

    • Under Custom integrations, type “ModernLoop” in the Application name field and click Create.

    • Copy the generated API key.

  1. Connect Codility in ModernLoop

    • Click on Organization Settings in the left navigation menu.

    • Scroll to the Coding Tools section and click Connect to the right of Codility.

    • Paste the Codility API Key into the field and click Save.

Using Your Codility Integration

1. Generating Codility Links When Scheduling Interviews

  • When scheduling an interview in ModernLoop, go to the Communications tab.

  • Click the Codility button to open a modal.

  • Select + Add Codility link to auto-generate a Codility session link for the interview.

2. Adding Codility Links to Interview Plans (Jobs Tab)

Codility links can be added directly to interview plans so they generate automatically for specific stages:

  1. Go to the Jobs tab in ModernLoop.

  1. Select the job for which you want to configure the Codility integration.

  1. Choose the relevant job stage.

  1. Locate the interview in the interview plan where you want to generate Codility links by default.

  1. Click the "</>" icon to configure the coding assessment.

By configuring Codility links in interview plans, you no longer need to generate links manually for every interview schedule.

If you decide to deprecate your Codility integration, your links will remain active—ModernLoop never deletes coding links.
